Once you decide on your new bike, we will handle the registration for you. Here is how it works:-
We will notify you of the new registration number that DVLA will be allocating to your bike
You will need to arrange insurance, based on that registration number, before we can complete the registration process
We will carry out the Assembly, Pre-delivery inspection and fitting of the number plate
You inform us when your insurance is in place. ( you will get a fine, through the post, if the bike is registered without insurance )
We complete the registration process and tax the bike.
Once the road test is complete and all of the paperwork is done then it is time for the handover
We will run through the controls and maintenance requirements with you. Once you are happy with everything then off you go.
This whole process should only take a day or two
We are not insurance brokers so it is up to you where you get your bike insured.
Chinese bikes account for a great percentage of new sales so most insurance companies are able to take care of you
Occasionally, we hear of an insurance tele-sales person saying that they have entered the registration number on the system but DVLA do not recognise
it as a valid vehicle. Well, of course DVLA do not recognise it because it is law that every new vehicle must be insured Before it is registered.
You are speaking to an inexperienced rep. Ask to speak to their supervisor. This is how ALL new vehicles are insured
BikeSure specialise in Lexmoto motorcycles and offer a discount to anyone refered to them by a Lexmoto dealer. If you try them then quote G3789 as our dealer code
We are not tied to any finance company and we do not claim to offer financial advice
There are many finance companies that will organise a motorcycle loan for you and then buy the bike from us, on your behalf
We sell quite a large number of bikes under this arrangement
The main advantage of these companies is that they are able to draw on a large pool of lenders to get the best deal for you
The company that we seem to deal with more often than any other is Superbike loans
Your machine comes with a 12 month 'Parts only' warranty. This is dependant on your having followed the recomended service schedule, and having had the work done by a Lexmoto dealer or other V.A.T registered motorcycle repairer. ( see servicing section). Please remember,NO SERVICING, NO WARRANTY
If we do your servicing, we offer a 12 month 'Labour' warranty to complement the Lexmoto parts guarantee.
Warranty does not cover breakages or accidental damage. Warranty does not cover 'In Service' items such as tyres, brake pads, chain & sprockets etc.
Warranty does not cover 'call out' or 'recovery' charges and it is your responsibility to get the machine to us in the unlikely event of a failure. Should you be unable to arrange delivery of the machine to us we will usually try to assist and will charge a competitive rate for recovery.
To ensure the safe and reliable operation of your new machine, and to safeguard your warranty, it is essential that you adhere to the maker's service schedule. A new machine settles down and gradually frees off for the first 1000 km, and requires and adjustments during this critical time. The first of these services is called for after the first 300km. The second at 1000km. After this it is 2000km, 4000km and so on. Please remember, NO SERVICING - NO WARRANTY.
If we are maintaining your machine, we will carry out the FIRST service free of charge. Subsequent services must be paid for. For those who live too far away from us, another Lexmoto dealer, or V.A.T registered motorcycle repairer can carry out the work, but you will have to pay them for the first service as well. A copy of the invoices for the services should be sent to us so that we can enter them on the Lexmoto records system.
The advantage of having us do your servicing is that we will also supply, free of charge, the labour for any warranty repairs for the first 12 months. Other agents will expect you to pay for the labour content of any warranty repairs they might be asked to carry out.
